Vision gets National Recognition...

Greyfred Gray, the University of Tennessee law professor whose early and persistent advocacy helped pave the way for wider acceptance of mediation in Tennessee has issued ringing endorsement of Make it Real: The Tennessee Vision for Mediation. In an email to colleagues and friends, he urged them to "read it, endorse it, share it with others and help make it come true."
As Jackie Kittrell, long-time Director of Knoxville's Community Mediation Center and a member of the core group that created The Tennessee Vision observed, "if Greyfred says we did good, we did good."
Leading national figures have also reacted. Jay Rothman, Director of The ARIA Institute at the University of Cincinnati, known internationally for his theoretical work on identity-based disputes called it "wonderful and inspiring work." Marvin Johnson, a member of the Federal Impasses Panel and founder of the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution called the Vision "an important step on the road to edcuating the public about the importance of considering mediation." Lorig Charkoudian, Director of Community Mediation Maryland, stated, "the plan clearly demonstrates a collaboration among passionate and committed mediators and mediation supporters." MORE...
